Birdi Killer Chaos
- Steve’s Hangar

This turned into a three year (2016 -2019) build project that started with Jeffery passing an original Birdi kit.  The missing ribs for one wing panel were patterned off the ones for the other side, aligned, and holes added to fit on a Great Planes wing jig - first attempt to use the jig acquired recent years at a swap meet.  Life events (heart surgery) and other interests and priorities prevented a continued construction effort.  The fuselage was once lengthen to accommodate an available OS .90 4-Stroke, then later shortened for a Saito .82 when the .90 was needed for a Super Sportser.  Retracts were added and the tailwheel configuration selected to keep it from getting too complicated.  The narrow fuselage required smaller but powerful digital servos for the tight fit.  Removable wing tips were added to protect  the wing from our rough asphalt runway during Texas windy landings. Basic two tone high visibility Monokote covering finished the project.
